Get the facts about the workers who put food on our tables everyday.
The Farmworker Institute has two parts: the annual networking event and educational resources for faith communities. Both components originated as projects of the Farmworker Ministry Committee of the NC Council of Churches.
Today, the Farmworker Institute Annual Networking Event continues to be an annual summit coordinated by an ad hoc planning committee of farmworker advocates. The purpose of the Networking Event is to bring together farmworker advocates to share skills, knowledge, and resources to improve the living and working conditions for farmworkers and their families in North Carolina.
The educational resources component of the Farmworker Institute continues to be maintained by an active collaboration of the NC Council of Churches and Student Action with Farmworkers, with generous support from The Duke Endowment. You can check out our resources here.
